I always had a passion and love for weddings and it wasn't until I left the corporate world of sales that I decided to put my love for photographer and passion for weddings together to create my dream career.

A college friend took a risk on me and trusted me to shoot her wedding day.

Had I shot a wedding before?
Absolutely not.

Did I fall in love with it?
Absolutely.

I strive to ensure that every couple I work with has photos that they will brag about to their great grandchildren.

I joined the wedding industry in 2017, seeking to create a unique wedding experience that was tailored to each couple and their individuality.

Aly Matei

I’m Aly, a wedding photographer based in Houston, capturing love stories across the Texas Hill Country since 2017. My journey began when I met my husband, Alex, on New Year’s Eve 2016 in Chicago. From that moment, I knew he was the one, and our NYE kiss turned into a forever promise.

After a whirlwind romance, Alex proposed in July 2019, and we dove right into planning our dream wedding, tying the knot in February 2020 in beautiful Wimberley. Our family grew when we welcomed our first daughter, Evelyn, in April 2021, followed by our second daughter, Mabel, in August 2022, and our first son in 2024.

My family is my everything, inspiring me daily as both a mother and a business owner. I’m dedicated to capturing genuine moments on your wedding day, allowing couples to truly experience their love without feeling stuck in poses. I can’t wait to document your beautiful journey together!

What I'm Loving

What I'm Learning

Wedding days can be a lot of pressure for couples and my job is to ensure you feel comfortable in front of my camera to be able to not only enjoy, but also experience your wedding day.

What I'm Not About

Poor communication is the number 1 reason for disappointed couples. From booking to gallery delivery, I want you to feel confident that you can reach me when needed and share all expectations.

What I Believe

Your wedding day was meant to be experienced. Being stuck in front of the camera the entire day posing is not the goal. I want document all of the hugs and love your guests want to share with you.

I am very passionate about ensuring that your photography experience is nothing shy of immaculate from booking to gallery delivery. I want to get to know you and your fiance to make sure that yall feel comfortable being in front of the camera to capture yall's genuine emotion and love during our sessions.
