Chappell Hill, Texas is the perfect small town. It is the first thing that pops in my mind when I think of small town here in Texas. Chappell Hill is about an hour northeast of Houston. When Ryanne mentioned that Jonathan’s family lives in Chappell Hill and they wanted to do their engagement session in this cute town, I immediately knew it was going to be one of my favorite sessions. Some know Chappell Hill as the birthplace of Texas as it was in the heart of Stephen F. Austin’s original colony.

How They Met…

Best friends know best, especially in Ryanne’s case. Her best friend, Shelby, had been wanting set her up with this guy she knew. Shelby and her husband convinced Ryanne to go to a New Year’s party with them because they knew this guy that was going to be there, would be perfect for her. Ryanne was introduced to Johnathan that night and FIREWORKS were shooting into the sky! Jonathan took Ryanne on their first date on her birthday to go ice-skating at Discovery Green. While on that date, they both knew, this is the one.

How He Asked…

Jonathan pulled out all of the stops when proposing to Ryanne. Both his and her family went up to see Jonathan play baseball at Texas A&M. After the game Ryanne and Jonathan went and stayed with his family at their farm out in Chappell Hill. The next day comes around and Jonathan’s brother decided to take his wife and kids to a “festival” and Ryanne went with Jonathan’s mom to go get her nails done. Of course, she is not thinking much of it as this seemed like a normal day. As they are driving back to the farm, Ryanne notice some people at the barn and thought “oh they must be back from the festival”. Then Jonathan’s mom looks to Ryann and tells her, “I think you should get out of the car now”. Ryanne was a bit confused but got out of the car and the next thing she saw was Jonathan under an arbor covered in flowers looking spiffy. Johnathan got down on one knee and said those beautiful 4 words, “will you marry me?” and it was an easy and loud “YES!” from Ryanne! All of their family and friends came out of the barn once they heard that loud yes to celebrate!

These two Aggies are just perfect for each other. When I met them, I knew they would be such a fun couple to be around. They literally finish each other’s sentences and are always laughing.

I cannot wait for their New Years Day wedding at Olde Dobbin Station.
