If you made it this far to my blog, you probably have seen that one thing I love about my job is that when I get a new couple, I also get two new friends. This wedding was a bit different for me because this was a friend that became a new AHP couple. This beautiful wedding at The Estates at Pecan Park was so special to me. I met Abby when she joined my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, at Sam Houston State University. Abby is one of those girls that can have a conversation with anyone. When she met John, she knew that he was the one that would never let the conversation end.
After graduating, Abby and John began their careers in the “real world”. It wasn’t too long after that John got down on one knee and asked Abby to be his wife. Of course it was such an easy yes for her. These two together are the life of the party, I mean Abby’s something blue was a bottle of blue Boone’s Farm from the Maid of Honor (pictured below)! Everyone danced the night away in celebration of Abby and John.
There is a special tradition that the SHSU Zetas share at a sister’s wedding, that is coming together and belting out “Never Alone” by Lady Antebellum. It was so special to capture this moment and be able to join in with my sisters to carry the tradition on for Abby.
This wedding was focused on the little things. Each and every detail was carefully chosen, from the name cards to the florals. Everything meant something special to this beautiful couple. The Estates at Pecan Park was the perfect venue to bring everyone together to celebrate the Burtons.
