A Timeless Houston Wedding at The Astorian

Hannah and Richards Houston wedding at The Astorian was beyond beautiful and full of so many precious moments. These two first met from Hannah’s classmate who just so happened to be a longtime friend of Richards. Their mutual friend hosted a game night, and the two met at this time. Hannah and Richard discovered they’d both be going to Texas A&M. They hit it off and a month later went off to college!

In December of 2021, Richard proposed to Hannah at the Water Wall in the Galleria! He told her that they were going out for a nice dinner to celebrate New Year’s Eve and then getting together with friends afterwards. After the proposal, he said that they were actually eating in Katy and that he needed to run by his house beforehand. Instead, all of their family and friends were there to surprise Hannah with an engagement party! And now here we are, witnessing the beautiful wedding of Hannah and Richard at The Astorian!

Getting Ready With The Bride

For her wedding, Hannah chose a dress that is both timeless and elegant. There was something so beautiful about it, and she looked absolutely radiant. I loved Hannah’s wedding day look. She had flawless makeup, and her hairstyle, a tight bun, completed her wedding day look perfectly.

Brides First Look With Dads & The Groom

Something special that I loved about Hannah and Richard’s wedding is that they not only shared first looks with each other, but Hannah also shared first looks with her father and step-father as well. You could truly tell how special it was for Hannah and both of her fathers. When they both turned around to see her, you could feel the pure emotion from both of them. It was no different with Richard. When he seen Hannah, he couldn’t help but get teary eyed as well! There’s nothing quite like capturing the true emotion and special moments of a wedding day like this!

A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony in Houston

Hannah and Richard had a beautiful wedding ceremony at a local church in Houston. You could feel how much love was in the room for them both. They had quite the attendance for their ceremony.

Hannah and Richard’s entire wedding party looked fabulous! There’s just something so timeless and beautiful about a simple black and white wedding look! And to top it off, having the Astorian’s reception space as the backdrop made it all the better. This space is beautiful!

After getting photos with the entire bridal party, Hannah and Richard got some against the stunning setting of The Astorian. This venue is absolutely beautiful. It an industrial styled chic venue that was actually originally built to replicate the iconic revered Grand Central Station of New York City! It truly gives such an elegant 1920’s feel, and the hanging chandeliers and twinkling lights above created the perfect ambience.

A Wild & Fun Wedding Reception at The Astorian in Houston

Hannah and Richard’s reception was so much fun! After the speeches and cake cutting, nobody wasted any time heading out onto the dance floor and partying it up! Hannah changed into such a cute short white dress and with sunglasses and a hot pink dazzling cowgirl hat. Many of the guests also had hats and it was such a good time! They even had some Chick-fil-A sandwiches for guests and they had large cutout photos of their sweet white Labrador retriever named Lilly! At the end of the night, they shared and intimate last dance and then had a fun flower petal exit and drove off into the night in a snazzy vintage car! It was such a sweet wedding exit, and a night that we at Aly Matei Photography will never forget!
