A Beautiful Beckendorff Farms – Katy Texas Wedding Venue

Reed and Heidi’s wedding at Beckendorff Farms Katy Texas wedding venue holds such a special place in my heart! Not just because I photographed and planned the wedding, but because Heidi is my cousin, and I was her maid of honor! Heidi wasn’t sure on how to plan the wedding, so I did! The colors, florals, ceremony set up, ordering the table numbers, custom wedding sign, and photography. I did have a second shooter to help shoot the ceremony and some of the reception when I had to be fully present!

It was so fun to be a part of Heidi’s wedding in this way and in turn I was able to create a dream wedding that I knew she and Reed would love! And of course I knew I would love shooting it too. Such a win-win situation. Beckendorff Farms is one of my top venues, so I knew it would be perfect for Heidi and Reed! The venue has an amazing team, and its very family oriented itself as the Beckendorffs family heritage began in the 1880’s!

Getting ready and being Heidi’s maid of honor was so special! She looked so beautiful in her dress, and I loved her florals by Ponderosa Flower Studio! The moments she shared with her dad and step dad during her first looks were so sweet!

First Looks and Portraits With Heidi & Reed

After her first looks with her dad and step-dad, Heidi and Reed also shared a first look. I love how in love Reed and Heidi are, and how stunned they were to see each other all dressed in their wedding attire! They are such just the sweetest couple. And of course, we got some portraits of the two against the beautiful backdrop of Beckendorff Farms!

A Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony at Beckendorff Farms – Katy Texas Wedding Venue

It’s no secret that the outdoor ceremony space at Beckendorff Farms is absolutely stunning. It’s set against the Beckendorff pond making for the perfect backdrop for a romantic and beautiful outdoor ceremony! My husband did the wooden box stands for the florals and I loved how they turned out. Heidi and Reed had the cutest little flower girl for their wedding, though I may be a bit biased because she’s my daughter! 😉 And the ring bearer couldn’t help but play in the grass during the ceremony! Overall this was such a beautiful outdoor ceremony and you could just feel the excitement of everyone and the love for Heidi and Reed!

And of course we had to get some portraits of Heidi and Reed against the Beckendorff Farms pond! And I have to say, full on maid of honor glam is not my normal wedding photographer attire, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, am I right? I just loved these shots of Heidi and Reed, especially the side angles with the florals!

Wedding Party Photos at Beckendorf Farms

Before the start of the reception we got some wedding party photos in front of Beckendorff Farms. If I do say so myself, Heidi and Reed had a pretty hype wedding party!

An Indoor Wedding Reception at Beckendorff Farms – Katy Texas Wedding Venue

The indoor reception space at Beckendorff Farms is just as stunning as the outdoor space. It has beautiful copper detailing throughout, French back wooden farm chairs, and gorgeous chandeliers! Also, I just need to squash the narrative of kids ruining the fun of a wedding reception, because honestly after photographing well over 150 weddings, kids on the dance floor make for THE BEST shots and add so much fun to the night! It was no different at Heidi and Reed’s wedding. All of the kids had so much fun, and so did the adults!
