There’s just something about a garden wedding venue that brings everything to life and Megan & Andrew’s day at McGovern Centennial Gardens was the perfect example! With a soft start at the groom’s family home, a ceremony in Rice University’s historic chapel, and a flower-filled celebration in the middle of the city’s most beautiful garden it was a full-circle kind of day! Every detail felt intentional, joyful, and so incredibly them!

Getting Ready with Megan
The day kicked off at Andrew’s childhood home, and it honestly couldn’t have felt more relaxed. Megan was pampered while her bridesmaids did their own hair and makeup (they nailed it, by the way). It was one of those rare wedding mornings that didn’t feel rushed or hectic just peaceful, happy energy from start to finish! This part of the day is always one of my favorites to capture. The coziness of a family home, the quiet excitement, the little emotional moments before the whirlwind begins, it’s the stuff you’ll want to remember forever!

A Classic Ceremony at Rice University
Their ceremony took place at Rice University’s beautiful chapel, and oh my gosh it was straight out of a storybook. The light streaming in was soft and glowy, the architecture gave everything that old-school romance vibe. It felt timeless and sacred, but still so them sweet, joyful, and full of heart. An absolute dream!

Garden Wedding Portraits with the Sweetest Vibes
Megan & Andrew’s portraits were so beautiful! Megan looked absolutely stunning in her square-neck gown with those dreamy floral sleeves (and don’t even get me started on her bouquet, literal art!!). Andrew rocked his classic navy suit and couldn’t stop smiling at her the entire time.

The Wedding Party
Okay, can we just take a moment for this wedding party?! Megan and Andrew’s crew showed up in the most joyful, colorful fashion and made every photo pop. The bridesmaids wore a mix of dresses in dreamy garden hues. Yellows, greens, pinks, and they totally made it work. It felt playful and fresh while still being super cohesive (major props to the styling!).
The groomsmen looked great in classic navy suits, adding a little contrast to the palette while still fitting in with the overall aesthetic of this gorgeous garden wedding venue. The whole crew brought such fun, easy energy to the day! Smiling, laughing, hyping each other up!

The Dreamiest Garden Wedding Venue Details
Okay but can we talk about how cute their details were?! Everything felt super intentional without trying too hard. Megan’s bouquet was bursting with fun color and texture, and all the little things, from the signage to the table numbers, felt like little love notes to their style. I’m still thinking about how they brought in garden-inspired elements without it ever feeling too theme-y. Just easy, happy, and beautiful. You could tell they cared about the guest experience so much, and it all came together like a breath of fresh air!

A Fun Garden Wedding Venue Reception
The reception at McGovern Centennial Gardens was the moment. The whole garden wedding venue just glowed during golden hour, and the florals were wild in the best way, colorful, a little whimsical, and totally joyful. Guests were sipping drinks, wandering through the paths, and just vibing under the string lights. The energy was fun and relaxed and full of love, and every photo just feels like summer. They danced all night, toasted to forever, and soaked in every second. It was one of those nights where you look around and think, “Yup, this is exactly how it should feel.”
