When I take a look at maternity photography, I see a lot of the same thing. So when I decided to give it a shot, I wanted to create something memorable and unique. I reached out to my old college roommate, Shelby, and asked if she would be interested in being the subject for these maternity boudoir photos. Being indoors was important to me because I feel that it set this session apart from many other maternity sessions. The end result from this session is absolutely stunning.
I went searching online for the most beautiful maternity gown that I could find and came across a talented designer on Etsy. I saw this gown and immediately knew that I needed it for this boudoir maternity session. Honestly, Marina creates some of the most stunning gowns that I have seen. After I put the attire together, I needed to find the perfect venue for this session. After lots of stalking on Instagram, I came across The Oak Atelier. This is a beautiful natural light venue in Conroe, Texas. The story behind the venue is beautiful as well. It was the owner’s childhood home and she turned it into this magical white space venue with 3 magnificent rooms.
This is Shelby’s second baby, but FIRST baby girl! I am so excited for her and her family. This is a new adventure for them and I could not be happier.
Congratulations to my dear friend!
