Beckendorff Farms Wedding
A Beckendorff Farms wedding is always dreamy with its rustic charm. Nestled in Katy, Texas, its nurtured landscape offers indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. The farmhouse tables and unique chandeliers provide a romantic setting. This sophisticated, rustic barn wedding was everything Kelly and Kyle could dream of. Adding touches of gold and greenery was all that was needed to ensure that the natural beauty of Beckendorff Farms would take the breath away of every guest that was there to celebrate these high school sweethearts.
Getting Ready
This day was everything Kelly and Kyle could have ever imagined! Kelly spent the morning being pampered with her bridesmaids. Love, joy and laughter filled the air. Kelly and Kyle chose an outdoor wedding because of Covid-19 but this particular day was rather cloudy. While they were getting ready, Kelly had to make a decision whether she wanted to move the ceremony indoors. But a miracle happened! The sun finally broke through! Kelly was surrounded by friends and family that love her so much. She handled this decision with such grace because she knew, at the end of the day, she was going to marry her best friend.
First Looks
Kelly choose to have a first look with her Dad and Kyle. Sweet, intimate moments that are always one of my favorite parts of any wedding day to capture. The love and respect between them all is so beautiful. After the first looks, we whisked Kelly and Kyle away for couple portraits then finished with photos of the full bridal party. And WOW! That was a blast. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were so fun and energetic. I know these two felt so loved!
Outdoor Ceremony Beckendorff Farms Wedding
The outdoor ceremony was perfect! Often at weddings, the guests don’t know much about the wedding party but Kelly and Kyle came up with a fun way to introduce them. At the beginning of the ceremony, they had them all tell a brief story of how they became friends with the bride and groom. It was so special to hear their recollection of how Kelly and Kyle met and see how far they had come as friends. The words being spoken had Kelly in tears. These were moments Kelly and Kyle will forever cherish.
The Reception
After the ceremony, Kelly and Ryan had a private moment together to just soak in the fact that they were officially married. It was a sweet few minutes together to reflect on the day and take in all the love and support around them. After a delicious dinner, everyone hit the dance floor. The DJ with LG Event Pro kept the party alive and the dance floor was packed.
When I later asked Kelly to describe her wedding day, she told me, “The night flew by way too fast but, we tried our best to soak in every moment! At one point I turned to Kyle on the verge of tears and asked if he could slow time down. I didn’t want the night to ever end. It was everything I had dreamed of.”
I always love to ask my couples what advice they would give to other couples planning their wedding day. Kelly’s advice is this: “Take your time, consider your options, and don’t feel pressured to incorporate something just because the wedding industry or tradition says you have to. Make the event your own. Oh….and you don’t have to invite them – even if they are family!!”
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Smith! It was such an honor being a part of your wedding day. The entire team at Aly Matei Photography wishes you a lifetime of happiness!
