A Timeless Wedding at Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue

This timeless wedding at Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue was absolutely beautiful! This venue is such a gorgeous venue here in The Woodlands, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect for Jacque and Trace’s wedding day. I was also able to work with an amazing wedding planner, Wed and Prosper! She is an amazing Houston wedding planner and it’s always such a great time when I get to work with this planner! Long story short, Jacque and Trace originally inquired with me for their wedding and then decided to go with another photographer. I understood and there were no hard feelings! After their engagement session with the other photographer, they ended up cancelling and inquired to work together again. Of course I said yes! When I asked Jacque if she had any advice for couples planning their wedding now, she said

“If you love a vendor and have an instant connection with them, book them!!! Don’t wait and continue your search because you will just end up coming right back to them, and it might be too late!“

Getting Ready With Jackie at Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue

One thing that I love about Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue is how cute it is and how much natural lighting they have all throughout the venue. The bridal suite at this venue is gorgeous! The venue actually offers a two story bridal suite, ensuring the bridal party ample amount of room for getting ready and relaxing! This space really allows for so much natural lighting to shine through, making for beautiful photos! Jacque looked absolutely stunning in her dress, and I was in love with her beautiful long wavy hair!

Getting Ready With Trace at Addison Woods Wedding & Event Venue

Something special that Jacque did for Trace was she surprised him and two of his best friends from high school with some “Natty Lights” in honor of their friend Connor who passed away a few years ago. The guys were all three in tears, and it was such a sweet moment for them and that I could capture it. Trace and his groomsmen all wore really sharp blue suits for the wedding, and I loved the entire look!

Jacque & Trace’s Emotional First Looks Before The Ceremony

Jacque and Trace shared the sweetest first looks and private vows before the ceremony, but they also got to see their beautiful reception space set up prior to the reception, which was such a special moment! After the wedding, I asked Jacque about the special moments that she loved from their day. This is what she had to say:

“I also highly recommend doing a first look!! This was one of my favorite parts of the whole day. Trace and I don’t usually get emotional in front of people but having this moment together in private was so special and emotional in the best way! We both felt so much more relaxed after we saw each other, and it also meant we got to spend more time together!“

A Beautiful Indoor Ceremony at Laura May Chapel

Originally, Jacque and Trace were supposed to have an outdoor ceremony underneath the beautiful trees of Addison Woods, but a week before the wedding they decided to move it into Laura May Chapel. At this time, Houston was hitting record temperatures and their wedding day was hotter than they expected. Moving it indoors ended up being a great decision! Jacque loved the natural lighting that the chapel provided. Something special about their ceremony was that Trace’s dad, Allan, was their officiant! They also had the cutest ring bearer ever! Their dog Fletcher stole the show and wore the cutest tuxedo harness! Overall it was a beautiful indoor ceremony, and it worked out exactly as it was supposed to! Also, can we take a moment for their wedding arch? It was so beautiful and lush! Monica’s Brides did such an amazing job with Jacque and Trace’s wedding floras!

One thing that is evident from Trace and Jacques wedding is that they are well loved people! They both had large wedding parties who brought the best energy in celebrating them! I also loved the colors of the groomsmen and bridesmaids! Two colors that may not sound like they’d go good together, but they went together beautifully for this Texas wedding!

And of course, we had to sneak away for some portraits as the sun was starting to set! Addison Woods venue has such beautiful property and TONS of locations for portraits! These two are such a beautiful couple, so photographing them came pretty easy!

A Fun & Lively Wedding Reception at The Reception Barn

One thing Trace and Jacque absolutely loved for their wedding reception was the big white barn look, so Addison Woods white reception barn was perfect for them! These two had such a great turn out for their reception, and the dance floor was fun all night long! Towards the end of the night, Jacque and Trace didn’t do the usual slow dance alone in their reception space. Instead Jacque surprised Trace with a favorite song of theirs that they like to laugh to, which was “Big Booty Bitches“. LOL! They ended the night perfectly and had the best wedding exit! Overall this was such a beautiful day, fun reception, and I loved being able to capture their special day!
