Brianna & Thomas’ wedding day at Beckendorff Farms in Katy, TX was one for the books: colorful, vibrant, and full of intentional moments. From custom details to heartfelt vows, this day was the perfect example of what happens when a couple completely trusts their photographer to blend editorial posing with documentary storytelling. We leaned fully into that duality! I brought a custom backdrop to elevate their portraits and create space for more fashion-forward direction. At the same time, they weren’t afraid to let loose and be completely themselves, which gave us those real, candid moments that hit you in the heart. Let’s get into it!

Getting Ready with Brianna

Brianna’s getting ready suite was filled with sunlight, anticipation, and the sweetest moments. Her gown felt modern and timeless all at once! Especially with that lace mock-neck overlay that gave off major editorial bride vibes. One of the most emotional parts of the morning? Her first look with her dad. He walked in, saw his baby girl, and instantly lit up the room with happiness! It was quiet, meaningful, and something I’ll never forget. After that, Brianna and Thomas chose to exchange private vows before the ceremony, holding hands and sharing a quiet, joy-filled moment. It gave them space to slow down and really take in the gravity of the day. It also gave me one of my favorite shots of the entire wedding: two people grounding themselves in their love before the chaos of the day truly began.

The Ceremony at Beckendorff Farms in Katy, TX

Set outside at Beckendorff Farms, their ceremony took place under a wooden cross decorated in an explosion of florals think vibrant coral peonies, lavender sweet peas, and all the texture and color you could dream of. With the pond behind them and golden fall light streaming through the trees, the setting felt ethereal. Thomas’s reaction to seeing Brianna walk down the aisle was everything! It was intimate, sacred, and full of emotion from start to finish!

The Wedding Party

The bridesmaids wore romantic floral dresses in shades of blush and lilac, perfectly complementing the day’s color palette without being overly matchy. And those bouquets?? Unreal!! The energy was high from the jump. Every group photo felt like a celebration in itself equal parts laughter, hugs, and hyping each other up. Brianna and her girls were a dream to photograph: so connected, so joyful, so stylish!

Bride & Groom Portraits Beckendorff Farms in Katy, TX

This was where we really leaned into that editorial meets documentary approach. We started with some traditional posing and then loosened things up to let their chemistry take the lead. I directed when needed, but so many of the most striking frames came from them just being present with one another. We made use of that custom pink backdrop for some clean, editorial-style portraits and then transitioned into romantic golden hour shots around the property.

The Details

Everything about this wedding screamed intention. From the pastel floral install wrapped around the wooden cross to the custom-painted dance floor at the reception every design touch was so thoughtfully curated. The floral palette was a mix of bright, joyful color and soft romantic hues, and it came through in everything: the bouquets, the centerpieces, the ceremony install.

The Reception at Beckendorff Farms in Katy, TX

Let me just say these two know how to throw a party. The energy hit a 10 and never came back down. Light-up foam sticks, inflatable microphones and guitars, heart-shaped glasses, the works. It was one of those receptions where the dance floor stayed full all night, and the photos speak for themselves.
