One of my favorite things about Boxwood Manor is how versatile the space is. The venue sits on a ten acre property in Tomball, just north of Houston, with four custom-built spaces, soaring ceilings, oversized windows, and crisp white walls that let every design choice stand out. Whether you are planning something minimal or going all out with florals, the architecture complements your vision instead of competing with it.

For Cassidy and Connor, the classic Southern garden look came together beautifully. White blooms filled the ceremony space while lush greenery and potted trees softened every corner of the reception, creating a look that felt timeless rather than trendy. The bright, airy interiors also make my job as a Boxwood Manor wedding photographer a joy, because the natural light pouring through those big windows keeps everything feeling fresh, romantic, and full of color.

Getting Ready for a Classic Southern Garden Wedding

The morning started with all the details that set the tone for the day, the invitation suite with its soft green palette, the rings resting on a single white tulip, and Cassidy’s floral lace gown hanging in the light. Those botanical touches carried through everything, a quiet preview of the garden-inspired day ahead.

Cassidy got ready surrounded by her bridesmaids, who wore a mix of sage, green, and dusty blue gowns that looked like they belonged in a spring garden. The energy in the room, the way friends fuss over a veil or steady a train, those small in-between moments are some of my favorites.

An Emotional First Look and Wedding Party Portraits

One of the sweetest parts of the day was Cassidy’s first look with her dad. Watching him take her in, black tie tux paired with a black cowboy hat in the most perfectly Texan way, was a reminder that no matter how beautiful the flowers and design are, it is always the genuine reactions that people remember most.

From there we moved into portraits with the full wedding party. Connor and his groomsmen brought so much energy in their classic black tuxes, and the bridesmaids gathered around Cassidy with their bouquets of white tulips and lily of the valley. The white-on-green palette against Boxwood Manor’s bright interiors made every frame feel polished and effortless at the same time.

The Ceremony at Boxwood Manor

The ceremony perfectly showcased everything that makes Boxwood Manor such a beautiful wedding venue. An oversized floral arch of white blooms and greenery framed Cassidy and Connor as they exchanged vows, while the bright walls and chandeliers kept the space feeling open and elegant. Before Cassidy ever reached the aisle, Connor stood waiting at the front, and the emotion on his face said everything.

Cassidy came down the aisle on her father’s arm, her lace gown trailing behind her, and the room filled with that particular kind of quiet that only happens right before vows. They sealed it with a kiss beneath the florals, and the whole space erupted as they walked back up the aisle as husband and wife. Moments like these are exactly why I shoot both film and digital.

Bride and Groom Portraits in Tomball, Texas

After the ceremony, Cassidy and Connor stole a few minutes together for portraits. We used the floral arch, the soft evening light on the grounds, and even a playful stop on the putting green where a little “The Setsers” flag marked their new last name. These are the moments where the energy finally settles, where it is just the two of them, newly married, sneaking a kiss and laughing between frames. The manor’s white exterior and manicured grounds gave us a gorgeous, garden-party backdrop for every shot.

A Garden-Inspired Reception with a Texas Twist

Then the reception took the whole celebration to another level. Guests walked into a room that felt like an upscale garden party, long tables layered with patterned linens, rattan chargers, potted trees, scalloped lampshades, and soft sage and white florals everywhere you looked. The C&C monogram showed up in all the best places, from the framed signage to the dance floor, and a custom cake painted with a Texas scene tied their personalities right into the design.

And then the party truly began. Cassidy and Connor shared their first dance, worked their way through father-daughter and mother-son dances, and before long the floor was packed. Cowboy hats came out, a champagne tower got its moment, and just when the night felt like an elegant dinner party, everyone gathered around a mechanical bull for the most fun plot twist of the evening. Cassidy even changed into a shorter dress to keep dancing, and the celebration carried all the way to a glowing sparkler exit that sent them off into married life.
