Austin Outdoor Wedding
Everything about this Austin outdoor wedding was magical! While I live in Houston, Austin is one of my favorite cities. When Abby and Samuel reached out about my photography services and asked if I traveled to Austin, the answer was most certainly YES! The love and joy these two radiate for not only each other, but for their family and friends, is inspiring. This wedding was the best!
Catholic Ceremony in Georgetown, Texas
Abby and Samuel had not one but two ceremonies in November 2021 to celebrate their union as husband and wife. With just family by their side, they got married at their grandparents church in Georgetown just outside of Austin. They wanted to have get married under the Catholic Church, so they had their first ceremony one week before their wedding day. This church held a special place in their hearts because Abby’s grandparents were married here and are buried behind the church.
Austin Outdoor Wedding at Union on the Eighth
Wedding day two was simply perfect! The weather was gorgeous for this Austin outdoor wedding at Union on the Eighth. Both Abby and Sam radiate sunshine. They are the most genuine, happy go lucky couple. So, of course, the day was flawless and filled with lots of hugs, love and laughter.
After Abby was ready, she shared sweet moments with her Dad during the father daughter first look. These moments get me every single time! Her Dad was awed by his beautiful daughter. Sam and his mom shared special moments together too.
The Wedding Party
Honestly, I can’t say enough about this wedding party. The entire day, each person was smiling and cheering Abby and Sam on. We simply had a blast photographing all these amazing friends and family members. After the bridesmaids reveal, we got the ladies and gents together for portraits.
The Outdoor Ceremony
For Abby and Sam, family is everything. It was evident that every single person in attendance was chosen with intent to surround them and share these sacred moments with them. I have never seen anything quite like it. The ceremony was sweet and intimate, truly reflecting the special bond Sam and Abby share with each other.
Austin Outdoor Wedding Reception
After the married couple shared their first dance, toasts were made and guests enjoyed dinner and then danced the night away. We snuck Sam and Abby off for some amazing night time portraits, one of my favorite things to do with our AMP couples. The night ended with a tortilla throw, a tradition with Texas Tech alumni, and a sparkler exit. It was such a great way for them to get creative and reflect their personality as a couple with their tortilla toss.
Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Pharris! It was a pleasure for the Aly Matei Photography team to serve you. Wishing you many years of happiness ahead!
