The Peach Orchard Wedding
The Peach Orchard wedding venue is literally a dream come true! Not only for any couple, but for their photographer as well. Every single detail has been thought of by The Peach Orchard team. The architecture, the landscape, the bridal suite, the ballroom….nothing has been left undone. For Christen and John, this spring day was absolutely magical! John and Christen both love to travel. When they found The Peach Orchard Wedding Venue, they instantly fell in love with its European feel. They felt like they were in a chateau in France. Christen had always told her parents since she was a little girl that she wanted to get married under a live oak tree. With its abundance of majestic live oak trees, Christen knew The Peach Orchard was exactly what she had been envisioning all these years for her wedding day.
Christen’s favorite colors are the blue and orange that you see in a sunset. She created a dusty blue and orange-y peach color pallet that was gorgeous. The Mohr Collective helped them create an invitation suite that perfectly suited the whimsical French garden wedding vibe. Her bouquet from Piney Rose Florals was extra special as tied in on the bow were rings that were family heirlooms.
Getting Ready
This entire wedding day was filled with joy and happiness. Christen told me she is the easiest crier, especially when she is touched or happy. She was scared she would cry her entire wedding day, but instead she was just so happy. She was so busy smiling from ear to ear, there was not time for crying. Her bride tribe cheered her on the entire day as they got ready! Joy and laughter filled the air and there was a sense of peace and calmness. After Christen was dressed and ready, she shared sweet moments with her father during a first look.
The Groom
Decked out in a blue tux and black bow tie, John could not wait to see his bride in her wedding gown. With his best friends by his side, he was looking forward to marrying the woman of his dreams.
First Look Outside The Peach Orchard Wedding Venue
Christen and John chose to do a first look. It was some of their favorite moments of the day. Christen shared:,
“Some really special moments stand out for me from our wedding day. The first was the first time I saw John that day. He couldn’t see me, but I got to watch him arrive laughing and happy at the venue with all of his groomsmen. It felt like a big moment to see him for the first time that day. The second special moment I will always remember was our first look and reading of our private vows. It was a very special thing to make those promises to each other.”
The Wedding Party
John and Christen had the fun and unique experience of having known their entire wedding party for most of their lives. Every single member of our wedding party went to high school together. They are all still very good friends to this day. Getting ready for the biggest moment of their lives with all of our best friends surrounding them meant the world to Christen and John.
Outdoor Ceremony at The Peach Orchard Wedding Venue
Early in the planning process, Christen, Hannah, the Day-of Coordinator, and I met at Peach to determine the best spot for this outdoor wedding ceremony. Christen could not have imagined a more perfect spot to marry her best friend than the spot in front of the beautiful chapel with the branches of a gorgeous live oak hanging above. Piney Rose Flowers & Decor incorporated whimsical, loose florals along the ceremony aisle and at the altar to make it feel like a meadow that you might happen upon when driving through the European country-side. Their ceremony was so meaningful and beautiful. These two never took our eyes off each other. It was obvious how much love and respect they have for each other.
The Peach Orchard Beloved Ballroom Wedding Reception
Talk about a reception fit for a princess! The Peach Grand Ballroom was stunning! Decor by Dulce paired the perfect toile napkins with white and gold chargers, dusty blue linens, smoke colored glasses, and gold flatware. Cakes by Paula created a beautiful four tiered cake with pearl detail that looked gorgeous nestled in flowers beneath one of the stunning chandeliers inside The Peach Orchard’s Beloved Ballroom.
Christen and John brought in other details that reflected who they are as a couple. They set up a legacy display on a beautiful antique chest with old wedding photos of the generations that came before them on both sides. They wanted to remember the family that came before them and who helped them get to where they are today especially, if they couldn’t be there with them on their special day.
After the toasts were made and dinner was served, guests danced the night away! Before leaving their reception, the couple shared a private last dance. It was just the two of them in the ballroom listening to a song that was really meaningful and emotional. Christen shared, “ It was probably the first moment that we took a breath and went “Oh wow, we’re married!”
Christen and John exited the reception through streamers with all their family and friends cheering them on. The Peach Orchard’s 1920s vintage car named Henry drove them away as they started their new life together.
