A Classic & Timeless Wedding at Lindsay Lakes of Cypress in Texas

Danielle and Carey had the most beautiful wedding at Lindsay Lakes wedding venue of Cypress in Texas! This couple was actually a referral from one of my very first wedding couples Nikole and Shane. Shane is actually one of Carey’s groomsmen at this wedding! This venue is so charming and elegant, with so many spots for the beautiful bride and groom portraits! It also has a stunning chapel with hand-carved doors or a Lake ceremony location under a gazebo. Danielle and Carey decided on The Chapel, and it was such a beautiful ceremony location for them!

These two first met when they were both attending HBU! Danielle majored in athletic training and was an athletic training intern from her sophomore to senior year. Carey was majoring in finance, but he played baseball as well. In May 2016, they ran into each other at a party on campus and exchanged numbers. They texted and Snapchatted every day during the summer. Danielle tried to ignore him while she was at summer camp but just couldn’t shake the drunk man she met!

Once summer camp wrapped up, Danielle was back to interning again. She would see Carey a lot in the training department. They started hanging out more outside of the training room and found their spot at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. Their friendship really grew during this time and Danielle realized she really liked him when she started inviting him to everything. Come November he asked her out on their first date which was at The Cheesecake Factory. Now here we are five years later!

Getting Ready at The Cottage at Lindsay Lakes of Cypress in Texas

The day started for Danielle at 9 am with all of her favorite girls at the venue with the hair and makeup artists from Sunkissed & Made Up while jamming and getting ready. Danielle loved helping her cousin into her flower girl dress and then spoiling her with all of the chocolate her heart desired! Once Danielle was finished with her hair and makeup is when she felt like all the feelings were hitting her! She then few moments to give her parents something special to remember that day by, which is so sweet!

The Groom Getting Ready

Carey also had a great time getting ready with his groomsman! If you look at the fourth and sixth photos of the groom and his groomsman, you can see Shane as mentioned at the beginning of the blog to the right of Carey. I just love when I’m able to work with so couples who refer me to their friends and family!

Danielle & Carey’s Sweet First Looks

Danielle and Carey then shared an intimate first look at the beautiful grounds of Lindsay Lakes. According to Danielle, exchanging their vows was by far the best moment of their wedding day because it truly was such a special moment. She loved how they had the opportunity to be vulnerable and share a lot more with each other in terms of our vows. There was no feeling of nervousness or stage fright just, the two of them sharing our best feelings.

And of course, we had to get some beautiful portraits of Danielle and Carey before their ceremony! I absolutely loved Danielle’s white florals in her bridal bouquet and the timeless feel of their wedding. It was the perfect day for a Texas wedding and just the way these two looked at each other is so sweet!

A Beautiful Wedding Ceremony at The Chapel of Lindsay Lakes of Cypress in Texas

Danielle and Carey chose The Chapel as their ceremony location at Lindsay Lakes, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful! Something unique that they incorporated into their wedding day was the lasso, and she has always had a close relationship with her godparents and really wanted them to be a part of her wedding! If you’re unaware of what the lasso wedding tradition is, it’s where the godparents or officiants place a lasso or rope over the couple as a sign of ceremonial unity!

The Wedding Party

Danielle and Carey had a beautiful wedding party, and they all looked so amazing in their all-black attire! The vibe Danielle really wanted to go for was something simple yet timeless. She played around with the idea of wanting to have the wedding party do all black but it took some convincing to get Carey on board. He finally agreed and the black formal gowns came out perfectly with the stunning all-white florals and greenery by Elemental Florals!

And to end such a beautiful wedding at Lindsay Lakes, Carey and Danielle partied the night away with their family and friends! It was truly such a beautiful day and such a fun reception. Its funny because I have now gotten four referrals just from one of my very original wedding couples Shane and Nikole, and there’s actually a photo of me with 3 of my brides at this wedding!
